My path to becoming a therapist was not linear.

I started my career in public relations and marketing. I earned my Bachelor of Communication, then worked in digital marketing and advertising for local Calgary companies, Alberta Health Services, and larger organizations like TELUS and General Motors.

I come from a long line of veterans and first responders. It was during my undergraduate studies that I first learned about occupational stress injuries and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When a first responder family member was diagnosed with PTSD, I saw firsthand how its effects extend beyond the individual. PTSD impacts families and relationships too. That experience planted a seed that stayed with me in the years that followed.

Eventually, I chose to return to school and complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. During my practicum, I worked primarily in perinatal mental health. I supported expecting and new parents through anxiety, depression, infertility, adoption, abortion, and the identity shifts that can come with becoming a parent.

These experiences have shaped the way I approach counselling and the clients I hope to support. I am particularly passionate about perinatal mental health, and about supporting veterans, first responders, and their families. I also work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and many other challenges. Every client brings a different experience to therapy, and I value meeting people where they are.

At the heart of my approach is a simple belief: therapy should help you understand yourself and move toward a life that feels meaningful. Meaningful change takes honesty, self reflection, and the right support along the way.

I am not going to sit across from you and simply nod. I'm going to be real with you, take you seriously, and help you move forward. My approach to therapy is warm and compassionate, yet balanced and direct.

Outside of work, you can find me riding horses, hiking, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends.

I’m currently accepting new clients and offer sliding scale counselling services.
