Diana Gudim is a Registered Psychologist and holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Diana’s past work experiences in nursing gave her the opportunity to support her patients as they managed their physical health issues and often accompanying emotional distress. This reinforced her understanding of the mind/body connection, demonstrating how one’s emotional and physical health are linked and influence one’s overall well-being.

Diana utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, and Solution Focused Therapy. Diana has completed Level 3 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and has Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems. Diana is also a certified Empowered Relief Instructor and a Gottman trained leader in the 7 Principles of a Strong Relationship as well as a Bringing Home Baby educator, which she uses when working with couples facing a variety of relationship issues, including emotional disconnection, life challenges, and problematic communication. Diana also has training in Trauma Therapy, utilized in her work with survivors of abuse and/or trauma.

Diana has extensive knowledge and experience in Chronic Illness and Disability therapy. Her family history of multi-generational chronic disability brings insight and understanding to her work with individuals and families facing the continual adjustment and uncertainties inherent to chronic illness.

Diana brings academic knowledge and extensive practical life experience to her professional practice. Diana has a hopeful and heartfelt approach to therapy inspired by her belief in her client’s inherent strengths, resiliency, and ability to make positive changes in their lives. Diana has a passion for family, particularly her grandchildren, and greatly enjoys travel, ethnic food, Sci-Fi movies, and reading who done its!
