Kelsey is a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. She was born and raised in Calgary, which provided her with opportunities to explore and experience many of the resources throughout the city and its surrounding areas.
Kelsey conducts psychoeducational, cognitive, and social-emotional assessments for children and adults. These assessments have been used in academic settings to help provide supports and strategies to professionals working with these individuals. They have also been utilized to access government funding for individuals who qualify. Kelsey has worked within various school boards and private practices supporting students from kindergarten to post secondary. She enjoys working with families to help them understand their child’s unique abilities and navigate the best supports and resources accessible to them. Kelsey believes that through assessment, consultation, and counselling services, she can help individuals embrace their strengths and overcome their weaknesses to reach their true potential, both academically and personally.
In addition to assessments, Kelsey also offers individual counselling for children and adolescents. She works from a client-centered approach, which focuses on tailoring strategies and sessions to each client and their unique personality and needs. The therapeutic orientations she uses include: solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and child-lead play therapy. She has experience working with individuals with various presenting concerns, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger management, and social skills.
Kelsey feels honored each day to have the opportunity to work with each of her clients—and their families—to explore their unique experiences and help them to achieve their goals. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys gardening, painting, and exploring the outdoors with her two sons and husband.
