Crystal Hamill is a Provisional Psychologist and holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. She has extensive experience working in grief and loss, crisis and mental health, as well as family support counselling. Crystal believes healing and growth are essential in a person’s daily life, and she is passionate about helping clients cultivate a life full of vitality, meaning, and purpose.
Crystal works with diverse populations including: individuals and couples, various ethnicities and nationalities, and is LBGTQ friendly. She promotes a collaborative and strength-based approach to counselling, applying an integrative and holistic perspective to the following therapeutic techniques: Mindfulness Based Therapies, Attachment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Approach. Ultimately, Crystal views clients as unique individuals and will adapt a counselling framework to match the needs of each client.
Crystal’s areas of interest include anxiety, emotional regulation, self-compassion, self-growth, relationship concerns, breaking unhealthy relationship patterns (rescuing, enabling, co-dependency, etc.), grief and loss, life transitions, and anger management. She is passionate about helping others identify and maintain healthy relationships, heal from break ups and divorce/separations, and work through challenges in various relationships.
Crystal recognizes counselling can be a vulnerable and empowering process for clients and would like to be a part of your healing journey. She brings a genuine, warm, and compassionate presence, and creates a safe and trusting environment in order to enhance openness and authenticity.
In Crystal’s free time, she enjoys being out in nature, practicing yoga, enjoying zumba, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, listening to webinars, reading, and meditating.
